Barack Obama

Alright, you might be laughing right now. Realize that some of this might be a little satirical, but hear me out first. Would you rather have Barak Obama or Jerry Reinsdorf running the team? Obama has close ties to Chicago. He lived here prior to his Presidency and is a genuine Chicago Bulls fan.

This in itself is not enough. Obama is a very intelligent person, even if you disagree with his politics. He was a lawyer, senator and two-term President. Now, this is not a political post. That said, the myth when it comes to politics is how Republicans are more fiscally responsible and that Democrats just love to spend, spend and spend.

More from Chicago Bulls

Well, who else would be a better fit to own the Chicago Bulls than a democrat who will spend money to get what he wants? Not to mention, if Obama can run a country (whether you believe he ran it well or not), then he will be able to run a basketball franchise.

Now, this might be the most important part of Obama owning this franchise. He has connections to many of the players in the league. Many like and respect Obama. This would come in very handy when the team is trying to rebuild and bring in superstars via free agency. Obama would not be able to own the team on his own due to financial reasons, but he could be the primary face of the ownership and sit on the board that oversees basketball operations.
