The Chicago Bulls have already made some major moves to get younger this offseason by trading away 30-year-old Alex Caruso. Another big-name veteran, DeMar DeRozan, may also be on his way out of Chicago.

DeRozan's contract with the Bulls expired at the end of the 2023/2024 season, meaning he will enter unrestricted free agency on June 30 if no deal has been reached. Well, things are not looking good on that front as, according to K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago, contract talks have reportedly stalled.

DeRozan has spent his last three seasons with the Bulls being one of the team's most consistent offensive playmakers. In 2021/2022, DeRozan shot 50,4% from the field, 35.2 percent from three, and averaged 27.9 per game in 76 games. His 27.9 points per game average led the team that season.

During the 2022/2023 season, DeRozan shot 50,4% from the field, 32.4% from three, and averaged 24.5 points in 74 games played. Although DeRozan's points per game dropped by 3.4 points, he was still second place in PPG for the Bulls.

This past season was DeRozan's worst in Chiago, as he shot 48% from the field, 33.3% from three, and averaged 24 points per game in 79 games. Despite his average points per game dropping again, DeRozan still led the Bulls in points per game during the 2023/2024 season.

However, that doesn't mean much since the Bulls' offense was the 22nd-best in the league. Since DeRozan showed clear signs of regression this season, it's no surprise that the Bulls are hesitant to give him the contract he wants.

With DeMar most likely gone from the Bulls it will be fascinating to see to how they fill the whole this offseason.
