A day doesn't go by without a new Justin Fields trade speculation. It seems likelier and likelier every day that Fields will not be with the Chicago Bears next season. Caleb Williams of USC is the odds-on favorite to be the No. 1 overall pick and the starting QB for the Bears going forward.

This means that the trade market for Fields is shaping up. Fortunately for the Bears, it looks like there will be a robust market that could lead to a bidding war. The Las Vegas Raiders, the Atlanta Falcons, and the Pittsburgh Steelers have been most often linked to a potential Fields trade.

The latest reporting, however, suggests that one team has emerged as the clear favorite to land the former Ohio State standout: the Falcons.

Atlanta Falcons Emerge as Favorites to Land Justin Fields

According to NBC Sports Chicago, the Falcons and the Bears have been in contact at the NFL Scouting Combine.

This is in line with previous reporting that the Bears GM Ryan Poles wants to move quickly in these trade negotiations. The right thing to do, according to Poles, is to trade Fields before free agency opens on March 11.

Therefore, we can expect these discussions to pick up steam over the next week or so. The best-case scenario trade package for the Bears would be getting the Falcons' second-round pick and a swap of their first-round picks at the draft. This would allow the Bears more chances to strengthen the roster around their No. 1 overall pick.
