The Chicago Bears finally are giving fans a taste of the season ahead with training camp kicking off and practice reps underway. It is a welcome change after what has felt to be an endless offseason for a young team that appears to be at the start of a wide-open Super Bowl window. With this in mind, let's look ahead at what fans should be looking for when it comes to the rest of training camp and what the top stories are moving forward.

1. Rome Odunze's health

This question already appears to have been answered with the receiver getting off to a great start. There was a level of offseason concern around Odunze's 2025 injury and whether it was going to linger into the following season. Early returns have shown the pass catcher is every bit as explosive and capable as in the past two seasons. This is a huge relief, but it is still a situation fans will keep an eye on in hopes that the receiver proves he is getting ready to take a major leap.

2. WR3 Battle

Kalif Raymond and Zavion Thomas are the clear favorites, but it is extremely early in camp, and there is a lot of time for a surprise run. Whether it is Scotty Miller or Jahdae Walker, the Bears have an open mind when it comes to the team's depth chart and who could become the third starting option. Raymond's experience with Ben Johnson is an undeniable advantage, one that should continue to benefit the pass catcher as he looks to hold onto the starting role.

3. Garrett Bradbury

The veteran center has started camp in the lineup, getting first-team reps as Logan Jones looks to attempt to turn up the heat. The best scenario for Bears fans is Bradbury looking great and holding onto the starting job, while Jones should clear progression and provide reason to believe the future isn't far away. Regardless of how it plays out, Bears fans will have a close eye on the situation moving deeper into camp and into the preseason.

4. Pass Rush Standouts Not Named Montez Sweat

This remains a potential liability for the Chicago offense as Sweat is the only proven option when it comes to edge rushers. Bears fans are going to be searching for any potential answer, hoping that the offseason hype around Austin Booker wasn't misplaced, but a sign of a needed breakout season for a position group lacking clear answers.

5. Coaching Changes

Johnson calling plays protected the Bears from losing too much faith in an offensive staff that lost running backs coach Eric Bieniemy and offensive coordinator Declan Doyle. How the new coaching changes interact with the current roster and whether or not the franchise is going to miss the accountability that Bieniemy invited are factors going underrated when it comes to things to look for in training camp.
