Finally, in the fourth round, the Bears again go offensive line, selecting Central Michigan’s Luke Goedeke.

Even though the Bears get Goedeke at no. 115 overall, he is ranked as the 100th-best prospect in this class by Pro Football Focus. Therefore, that makes five top-100 players for the Bears in this draft — a pretty incredible haul for Poles’ first year.

Goedeke comes out of college as a tackle, but he is projected best at guard, which helps the Bears tremendously. That’s the area they need to address most after having drafted Lucas early on. Chicago has Cody Whitehair and newly-signed Lucas Patrick on the interior, but Goedeke could come in and start at the other guard spot.

At 6-foot-5 and 312 pounds, Goedeke offers great overall size for his position. But, what makes him unique is the fact that he is a former tight end. Coming from that position, Goedeke possesses great athleticism and footwork. He’s a hard worker, too.

As a fourth-round pick, the Bears cannot go wrong with Goedeke, as he should come in and compete for a starting position — and likely even win the job.
