Round 2, Pick 52

The Chicago Bears can always use help in their defensive backfield through the draft.

Every team in the league can benefit from drafting some defensive backfield help. The Chicago Bears are no different. With the loss of Kyle Fuller, things are going to be a little bit different. We also don’t know the future of a lot of current players there so drafting Jevon Holland isn’t a bad idea. He is a safety that comes from the University of Oregon.

Holland played his freshman and sophomore season with the Ducks but he didn’t play a single game in 2020. He opted out of the season as a lot of collegiate players did for obvious reasons. He is a high IQ football player that is going to be drafted in the late second round or early third round. The Bears would be smart to take him here because of what he might bring to their group on defense.

They currently have a defense that is getting old so injecting as much youth as possible is certainly a good idea. They know that the offense is the biggest issue with the team but they can’t afford to let the defense slip either. Having a good young safety come to the team via the draft might help keep that from happening.
