Chicago Bears Rumors: 5 trades for Allen Robinson
By Ryan Heckman
4. Washington Football Team
The Washington Football Team did most of their hard work on the defensive side of the ball Sunday. Dwayne Haskins threw for just 178 yards and a single touchdown while the team ran for 80 yards on the ground.
Second-year wideout Terry McLaurin is one of this year’s breakout candidates after a strong rookie campaign, but Washington does not have another playmaker opposite of him. Steven Sims Jr. could end up developing into a nice third option, but he may not be the WR2 Washington needs.
Placing Robinson’s electric ability on the same field as McLaurin would elevate the play of Haskins. It is a little funny proposing a scenario where Robinson lands in another questionable quarterback scenario, but the leadership and culture has been changed for the better with Ron Rivera now in town.
Robinson could be the one piece to put this team over the hill and on track to competing for the NFC East crown. With an ascending defense and a couple of pieces on offense, it’s not crazy to picture a world where Robinson has that type of effect in Washington.
