Chicago Bears Rumors: 5 trades for Allen Robinson
By Ryan Heckman
5. Miami Dolphins
If it is money he’s after, Robinson would find it in Miami. The Dolphins have plenty of room to sign him to a long-term deal and they have also done a nice job trying to rebuild from the ground up.
Robinson won’t sniff a Super Bowl for a while in Miami, but when Tua Tagovailoa finally takes over the starting quarterback job, he could be playing with the best quarterback he’s ever had, both college or pro.
For the time being, Ryan Fitzpatrick is known to let it fly and he would certainly see plenty of targets. At the moment, DeVante Parker is out with a hamstring injury. Albert Wilson is also out for the year, by choice.
The Dolphins have some unproven guys at the position in Jakeem Grant and Preston Williams, who have both flashed at times. But, bringing Robinson in would instantly change the offense.
The question is, after doing so many deals where they got rid of players, would Miami then be fine with dealing their own picks for players? They’ve remained pretty steady in holding their higher draft compensation as of late, so there’s no guarantee the organization would be willing to part with draft capital.
