No one knows when Alshon Jeffery will return to health, and without him, the Eagles don’t have an upper echelon wideout on the outside. DeSean Jackson and Jalen Reagor provide speed, but Robinson is the type of possession player this team needs. He’s the type to extend drives and come up when you need it most.
Against Washington, Carson Wentz and the offense sputtered after scoring 17 and couldn’t put any more points after that.
Philadelphia got a big play out of their second tight end on Sunday, proving they need other guys to step up and make those types of contributions. Robinson isn’t short on talent or productivity when it comes to the big-time catches. He would give them all of that and more.
The interesting wrinkle when it comes to Philadelphia is the current contract issues at hand with Zach Ertz. Would they be willing to pay Robinson?
