Chicago Bears: 5 factors that can lead to a Super Bowl run

2. A healthy defense
Roquan Smith, Akiem Hicks, and Danny Trevathan. Three of the Bears’ biggest names on defense ended the season on injured reserve last year, with Khalil Mack playing through back and neck injuries. But that didn’t stop Chuck Pagano from having one of the NFL’s best defenses.
Barring any major injuries, one thing is clear: The Bears defense is set to be one of the NFL’s best once again in 2020. With Hicks, Smith, and Trevathan back to 100 percent, the Bears defense is primed once again to propel this team to a Super Bowl run.
The rest of the NFL knows how good the Bears defense can be with the four names mentioned above being fully healthy. However, with the addition of Robert Quinn this offseason, the defense will be ever scarier than most expect.
Pagano knows how good this defense can be when everyone is at full strength. The players know that as well. Back when this defense was fully healthy in 2018, they led the NFL in many different categories such as sacks and turnovers. A healthy defense that has players training all offseason should produce similar results to 2018.
