Chicago Bears: 5 factors that can lead to a Super Bowl run
By Usayd Koshul
1. Stable quarterback play
This is the biggest factor that will ultimately determine the Bears hopes of making a Super Bowl run for the upcoming season. Whether Mitchell Trubisky or Nick Foles starts, each will need to be consistent from game-to-game in order for the Bears to have a chance to be in each game.
As of right now, many are expecting Foles, who won the Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles just three years ago to end up being the teams week one starter. And why? Foles is light years ahead of Trubisky and has been able to prove himself on the biggest of stages when called upon.
However, let’s just say that Trubisky ends up starting the entire season and leading the Bears to the playoffs. For that to happen, it means that he’d need to be near perfect in the regular season and that he’d finally live up to the expectations that saw him get drafted ahead of Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson.
Bears fans know this story all too well: The front office spends time building up an elite defense but then is let down due to shaky quarterback play. Head coach Matt Nagy certainly had a say in the Bears trading for Foles back in March. Now that he’s got his handpicked quarterback, it’s time for the quarterback to deliver.
