This year, I would love to see the Bears try to move on from Tarik Cohen. I know some fans might not agree, but Cohen has peaked. He’s become too cute and, quite honestly, doesn’t get it done like he once did.
The Bears need someone to compliment David Montgomery in a bigger fashion. Corbin could absolutely be that guy. At 5-foot-10 and 200 pounds, Corbin is a bit larger than Cohen but presents defenses with similar fits.
Corbin is shifty. He’s very quick on his feet and can change direction in a hurry. He also possesses high-end speed and, if given the ball in space, can eat up chunks of yards very fast. This is the kind of back the Bears need to pair with Montgomery. He gives you similar shiftiness and speed like Cohen, but a bit more size.
Over the last two seasons with Illinois, Corbin has rushed 271 times for 1,760 yards and 16 touchdowns. His 2018 season was actually more impressive than this past year, as Corbin averaged a whopping 8.5 yards per carry on the ground versus 4.7 in 2019.
