Chicago Bears 2020 NFL Mock Draft: A Christmas List
By Ryan Heckman
Because we’re still a few months away from the draft and haven’t yet seen what these guys can do at the combine, the further down the boards you go, the more folks are split on players. Cornerback Lamar Jackson is one of those guys who you could see as high as a third-round pick or as low as a sixth-round pick.

In the fifth round, though, this Nebraska Cornhusker would be quite the pick. Jackson has a lot to like about him, and in terms of defensive backs, you have to like when a guy has size. Jackson stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 215 pounds.
One of Jackson’s best traits is definitely his strength and physicality. He plays tough and is ready to jam receivers immediately off the line, disrupting not only their route but the opposing quarterback’s timing.
In his final season, Jackson finished with a career-best 40 total tackles, including 4.5 for a loss and 1.0 sack. He also came up with three picks, also a career-high. Out of his 22 passes defended in four years, 12 came this season — by far a career-best.
Other names on the list at pick no. 143:
Alex Highsmith, EDGE, Charlotte
Terrell Burgess, S, Utah
Cheyenne O’Grady, TE, Arkansas
Yasir Durant, OL, Missouri
