Chicago Bears vs Minnesota Vikings: 5 players to watch
By Eric Brown
Week 5 is upon us, who are the five most important players to watch in the Chicago Bears game against the Minnesota Vikings?
With 4 weeks in the book, the Chicago Bears have been extremely disappointing. Plenty of players jobs’ have been in the hot seat, most importantly Mike Glennon. On Monday, the Bears finally made the decision to go with 2nd overall pick Mitchell Trubisky for the match-up against the Minnesota Vikings. If everything goes right for the Bears, and Mitch avoids mistakes, this could end up being a high scoring game.
If Jordan Howard can finally get healthy enough, and Tarik Cohen gets back on track after a tough week 4, Mitchell Trubisky will have all hands on deck. The receiving unit has a new member, as the Bears also called up Tre McBride from the practice squad on Monday to help one of the worst units in the NFL. They say the best defense is good offense. If the Bears offense can win the time of possession battle, which in turn would keep the Vikings deadly pass catchers on the sideline they can win this battle of division rivals.
On the defensive side of the ball for the Bears they will be without Linebacker Danny Trevathan, who was suspended for an unnecessary, and vicious hit on Packers wide receiver Davante Adams in last Thursday’s game. The team may be without their leader, but the Vikings offense will be without their leader as well. When running back Dalvin Cook went down with an injury in Sunday’s game, it was a sad end to a promising season. We never wish anyone injury in the NFL, but this injury just so happens to help the Bears. With that being said, let’s take a look at 5 important players in the Monday Night Football game.
