The Chicago Bears are at home as the Divisional Round of the 2025 NFL Playoffs is underway. The Bears finished the regular season with a 5-12 record and missed the playoffs for the fourth straight season.

Chicago went into the season with a ton of hype. A lot of it had to do with Caleb Williams coming into town. Things didn't go the way the Bears envisioned and it's been reported that Williams had a minor procedure done.

According to Ian Rapoport, Williams had a cyst removed from his right hand, which is why he was seen with a cast on his hand.

Brad Biggs also reported that neither the USC product nor the team are concerned this will have an impact on his offseason.

Bears News: Caleb Williams Had Cyst Removed

Williams was seen sitting courtside as he attended a men's college basketball contest between USC and Wisconsin.

Once the video showed his hand wrapped, concern immediately sparked. Thankfully, it doesn't appear to be anything serious and he'll be ready to roll as the offseason progresses.

Despite getting sacked an NFL-high 68 times, Williams managed to suit up in all 17 games. As a rookie, he went 351-of-562 (62.5%) for 3,541 passing yards, 20 passing touchdowns, and six interceptions. The 23-year-old also added 489 rushing yards on the ground.

Depending on the severity and size of the cyst will determine the recovery timeline, but it shouldn't hinder anything Williams will be able to do throughout the offseason.

As the Bears still search for their new head coach, Williams is one of the biggest reasons why someone would want to come to Chicago. He has all the tools needed to be an elite signal-caller in this league, so having him available when a new coach looks to implement his system and culture is crucial.

And it looks like this isn't anything to worry about.
