The Chicago Bears are casting a wide net in the search for their next head coach. They already interviewed a slew of candidates, including interim HC Thomas Brown. Ron Rivera, Lions OC Ben Johnson, and DC Aaron Glenn are among the head coaching candidates who were interviewed by the team over the weekend. The Bears are reportedly continuing to expand their coaching search.
As teams lose in the playoffs, their coordinators become eligible to be interviewed. That includes the Packers who lost to the Eagles in the wild-card round on Sunday. Chicago didn't waste any time sending an interview request to Green Bay to interview their offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich, per NFL insider Tom Pelissero.

It’s the first interview for Stenavich, a former NFL offensive lineman who has been an asset to Matt LaFleur.
Stenavich has been with the Packers since 2019 and has worked as the OC under Matt LaFleur for the past three seasons. Green Bay's offense improved every year during his tenure, going from 14th in 2022 to eighth in 2024. The Packers had one of the best rushing offenses in the league last year.
Prior to taking over as the offensive coordinator in Green Bay, Stenavich had an extensive history working with offensive linemen. He has had multiple roles, including at Northern Arizona, San Jose State, and the San Francisco 49ers, as an offensive line coach.
The Bears could benefit from this experience as they struggled immensely on that front last season. Chicago needs to take a significant step forward in 2025, and an offensive-minded head coach could do wonders for Caleb Williams.
The head coaching search is nowhere near ending in Chicago, as new candidates emerge on a daily basis. How far Stenavich will go in the process among some high-level names remains to be seen.
