Start Time for Bears-Commanders Week 8 Clash Suddenly Changed by NFL
The Chicago Bears have found a spark as of late. They have won three games in a row and sit at 4-2 on the season. Last week, Chicago crossed the pond and outlasted the Jacksonville Jaguars 35-16 in London.
They are now on a three-game win streak and head into the bye week with some positive vibes. In Week 8, the Bears are going to travel to play the Washington Commanders but the NFL has decided to change the start time of this NFC collision.
Bears News: Week 8 Start Time is Changed
According to Ian Rapoport, the kickoff time between the Bears vs. Commanders game will now be at 3:25 CT, switched from a Noon CT kickoff.
That is a great sign, as this puts a national eye on this game, which isn't shocking. Rookie quarterbacks Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels have taken the league by storm and have showcased why they are guys of the future.
In 2024, Williams is tied for eighth in the NFL in passing touchdowns (9) with 1,317 passing yards and completing 65% of his passes. As for Daniels, he's ninth in the NFL in passing yards (1,404) and third in QBR (73.7) with six passing scores.
This is the first contest in the league between these studs. They went first and second, respectively in the 2024 NFL Draft so they will always be compared to each other. This gives the league their first glance into this heated rivalry for years to come and will be an exciting game for the Bears coming out of their bye week.
