We are less than ten days away from the Bears season opener and the expectations from the team are as high as it has been in a long time. The Caleb Williams fever has completely taken over in Chicago, and thanks to the savvy moves by GM Ryan Poles in the offseason, the Bears are in a good spot to have their first winning season since 2018.

That doesn't mean, however, that there aren't problems with the roster. The offensive line has been a constant point of frustration among the fanbase and the coaches all training camp. There is uncertainty about who will start at center, as well as concerns about right guard Nate Davis' availability and performance.

However, Poles doesn't seem too concerned about those questions. In fact, in his latest remarks, he called the offensive line the deepest group he has ever had. Highlighting the versatility and depth among the offensive linemen, the Bears GM demonstrated his faith in the group.

Bears GM Shockingly Unbothered With Offensive Line Depth

The current projected front line for the Bears is Braxton Jones and Darnell Wright at tackles, Nate Davis and Teven Jenkins as the guards, and either Ryan Bates or Coleman Shelton at center. The rest of the linemen include rookie Kiran Amegadjie, Bill Murray, Doug Kramer, and Matt Pryor. Larry Borom is currently on the IR list.

The Bears made significant investments in their offensive line in the last two seasons. They drafted Darnell Wright in the first round, traded for Bates, and signed Shelton in free agency. They underlined their trust in this group by cutting the likes of Ja'Tyre Carter and Jake Curhan before the roster cutdown date.

Regardless of what Poles says, this group has to prove themselves on the field. Unless Bears fans see Caleb Williams well-protected, they will continue to worry about the depth and quality up front.
