There haven't been many other teams in the league that improved more than the Chicago Bears. After going 7-10 in 2023, GM Ryan Poles did a masterful job improving the roster.

It started with free agency in March, as the Bears signed D'Andre Swift, Kevin Byard, and Gerald Everett.

They continued to add tremendous talent when they traded for WR Keenan Allen and drafted WR Rome Odunze with the ninth overall pick.

Through all this, the most exciting piece is QB Caleb Williams, who was selected with the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Even though Williams is QB1, the Bears could use a veteran backup QB and an intriguing option just hit the market.

Bears News: Ben DiNucci Is Now A Free-Agent

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported that the Denver Broncos have released quarterback Ben DiNucci.

DiNucci was selected in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys. He ended up playing in three games and making one start for the Cowboys, going 23-of-43 for 219 yards with zero touchdown passes and zero interceptions.

He was then waived by Dallas in 2022 before joining the Seattle Sea Dragons of the XFL.

In his lone season with the Sea Dragons, he led the XFL in pass attempts (374), completions (272), passing yards (2,671), and QB rushing yards (305). He was also second in the XFL in passing touchdowns (23) in 10 starts.

DiNucci would step into Chicago's quarterback room and push Tyson Bagent, Austin Reed, and Brett Rypien for the QB2 job.

While things didn't work out in Dallas, DiNucci put his head down and went to work in the XFL. It was good enough for the Broncos to sign him and Chicago should give him serious consideration.
