D.J. Moore Opens Up on Competition With Rome Odunze and Keenan Allen
It's hard to find a team with a better off-season than the Chicago Bears. It started in free agency when they signed D'Andre Swift, Gerald Everett, and Kevin Byard. On March 14, Chicago shipped out a 2024 fourth-round pick in exchange for WR Keenan Allen.
They continued to supplement the roster by selecting QB Caleb Williams and WR Rome Odunze in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
They now have one of the best WR trios in the league and D.J. Moore is excited for the 2024 campaign. However, he isn't worried about targets and believes it will be a race to 1,000 yards.
Bears News: D.J. Moore Says it Will Be a Race to 1,000 Yards Among Chicago WRs
Moore was a guest on the "Up & Adams Show" and couldn't hold back his excitement regarding the potential of the Bears offense.
He was asked by Kay Adams how he'll handle being on a offense with this many weapons.
Moore responded and said, "We all eat, you know. I feel like it's going to be a race to a 1,000 between the receivers in the room [Moore, Allen, and Odunze]. It should be amazing."
This statement will certainly excite the fanbase as we approach the season. Moore has recorded 1,000 yards or more four times in his career, including a career-high 1,364 receiving yards in 2023 with the Bears.
Meanwhile, Allen racked up 1,000-plus yards six different times in his 11-year career. As for Odunze, he went over 1,000 yards in 2022 and 2023 with the Washington Huskies.
All these guys have the skill set to go over 1,000 yards, and there will be some friendly competition between this trio in 2024.
