Chicago Bears rookie wide receiver Rome Odunze has been hampered by an MCL sprain he suffered in Week 1 against the Tennessee Titans. Surprisingly, the rookie hasn’t missed any time as he played in the Bears’ last two games.

Odunze had his best game as a rookie last week against the Indianapolis Colts, recording six receptions (11 targets) for 112 yards and a touchdown. Bears fans are excited to see the rookie build off his first 100-yard performance against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.

However, the rookie wide receiver has been hit by the injury bug again. According to ESPN’s Courtney Cronin, Odunze was listed as limited with a hip injury on Thursday’s injury report.

If you are a Bears fan, you aren’t excited to see this latest injury for Odunze, especially how he played in Week 3. The rookie wide receiver was listed as limited for the first two days of practice last week, before getting the full participant tag on Friday.

Therefore, the hope for this week’s game is Odunze will be a full participant on Friday. However, unlike in Week 3, the rookie receiver might have an injury designation for Sunday’s contest.

If the Bears don’t have Odunze for Sunday afternoon’s game, rookie Caleb Williams will lean on D.J. Moore and possibly veteran Keenan Allen in the passing game. Allen was listed as limited for the second straight day with a heel injury and has missed the Bears’ last two games.

Even though Odunze is still banged up, the oddsmakers still like the Bears' chances to win at home on Sunday as they are three-point favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook.
