3 Keys to a Bears Victory Over the Rams in Week 4
After an embarrassing loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 3, the Chicago Bears are looking to bounce back on Sunday when they play their second home game of the season against the Los Angeles Rams at noon CT.
The Rams enter this game coming off a 27-24 come-from-behind victory over the San Francisco 49ers. Trailing 24-14 with 12 minutes to go in the fourth quarter, the Rams rallied thanks to a great special teams play and Matthew Stafford's arm and veteran savvy.
The Rams' improbable comeback is not only a reflection of Stafford's greatness but also head coach Sean McVay's. McVay was able to make in-game adjustments to complete the comeback without major pieces of his team. Wide receiver Puka Nacua is on injured reserve as well as three starters on the offensive line and two defensive backs. Cooper Kupp also missed the game with an ankle injury.
All of these pieces will be out again on Sunday against the Bears. On paper, that should increase the Bears' chances of winning. However, McVay is by far a better head coach than Matt Eberflus, so they will inevitably find ways to stay in the game. Taking that into account, here are three keys to a Bears victory over the Rams.
