Members of Bears, Packers to Square Off in Sporting Event This Weekend
The Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears are two of the most storied franchises in the league. The two franchises have been playing against one another since 1921 and are bitter NFC North rivals.
The Packers lead the all-time series 107-95 and in recent memory, Green Bay has dominated this series. They've won 10 straight games over the Bears and 15 of the last 16 games.
The Bears made a flurry of moves this offseason, headlined by the team taking Caleb Williams with the first overall pick. We are three months away from the start of the regular season but before we even get there, members of both organizations are set to square off.
Bears News: Two Chicago Starters Challenge the Packers in Cornhole Tournament
Cornerback Tyrique Stevenson and left tackle Braxton Jones are going to face off against the Packers running back AJ Dillon and cornerback Carrington Valentine in a celebrity cornhole tournament that takes place on June 21 in Milwaukee.
Each player will be accompanied by a professional cornhole player in the American Cornhole League Superhole Series V. This is the fifth iteration of the celebrity cornhole championship.
The tournament in Milwaukee is one of four qualifiers for the championship round that will take place in early 2025.
Other NFL players like New Orleans quarterback Derek Carr, Buffalo defensive tackle DaQuan Jones, Texans defensive tackle Tim Settle Jr. and Raiders running back Alexander Mattison all have qualified for the championship round already.
Atlanta's Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgerier and New York Giants cornerback Cor'Dale Flott and safety Jason Pinnock will also be participating in the event on Saturday.
The competitive juices will be flowing in the contest as Bears fans will get to watch two of their guys square off against their bitter rivals.
