Matt Forte Speaks on Ryan Poles' Impact on Bears Culture
It's hard to argue that general manager Ryan Poles has done a bad job building the Bears 2024 roster. On paper, Poles has put together potentially the best offense Chicago has ever seen and the defense really came along at the end of last season.
However, having a good roster is only half the battle when it comes to building a successful team. The other part of having a successful team is having a good culture. From the outside looking in, it has been hard to see the positives in the Bears' culture under Poles and head coach Matt Eberflus since the team has not had a winning season since they took over.
Nevertheless, the reports from inside the locker room seem to indicate that the Bears are a tight-knit team with a positive culture.
Recently, former Bears running back Matt Forte spoke about Ryan Poles impact on the Bears' culture.
Bears News: Former Chicago Star Matt Forte Shares Thoughts on GM Ryan Poles
On Wednesday morning, Forte was a guest on Kay Adams' Up and Adams show.
While chatting with Forte, Adams asked, "Are you feeling a change in the culture there, and who gets the most credit for that?"
Forte responded to Adams by saying, "I do feel a change in the culture. Like you've heard the whispers of that, and it's true." While Forte was a Bear, the team and organizational culture weren't great, so hearing that he is optimistic about the culture Poles has built is nice.
One difference in team culture that Forte noted was that Ryan Poles understands the impact that having former players in the building and at practice has on young players.
"It inspires the younger guys who are coming up and want to fill the shoes of former players to be great."

The drive to want to improve and become great is how Super Bowl dynasties are built, so it seems the right steps are being taken by this regime.
After hearing Forte's thought's on the Bears culture it seems like Poles has the team going in the right direction on all fronts.
