Khalil Herbert's Potential Trade Value Revealed With Bears Future Uncertain
The Chicago Bears enter the 2024 season with an improved roster. They have done a terrific job finding quality playmakers on both sides of the ball.
The Bears last made the playoffs back in 2020 but are looking to change that this fall. General manager Ryan Poles was aggressive all throughout the offseason but his moves have made Khalil Herbert disposal.
And now his trade value has been revealed.
The Bears' longtime scout Greg Gabriel believes Chicago would receive a late pick in exchange.
"Herbert is in the final year of his contract. He’s not expensive at $1.05 million, so he could bring back a late pick in a trade before the final cutdown."

Chicago would likely receive some Day 3 compensation in a trade.
The backfield in Chicago is a bit crowded now. In March, they signed D'Andre Swift to a three-year, $24 million deal. He's now going to be the new lead back with second-year running back Roschon Johnson expected to take a jump.
Travis Homer is another depth piece who can play some special teams.
That's why there isn't much room for Herbert. The 26-year-old is heading into the final year of his rookie deal but could be a nice summer addition for someone around the league.
In three seasons, the Virginia Tech product has compiled 364 carries for 1,775 rushing yards, eight touchdowns, and 4.9 yards per carry. He also logged 43 receptions for 287 receiving yards, and two scores.
Herbert is an NFL-caliber tailback and will have some value around the league. Especially since injuries are bound to happen around the league.
