Keenan Allen Shows He's All-In After Bears Trade With Surprise Move
The Chicago Bears have been an active team this off-season in both free agency and the trade market. They also own the first and ninth overall picks in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
On Mar. 15, the Bears traded a 2024 fourth-round pick to acquire Keenan Allen from the Los Angeles Chargers. A few days later, Chicago shipped out Justin Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers for a 2025 sixth-round pick, which can convert to a fourth-rounder if he plays 51% of the offensive snaps.
With Allen now in town and all things pointed to the Bears picking their new signal caller at No. 1 overall, things are starting to fall in place.
Many draft experts and people around the league expect Chicago to select USC's Caleb Williams with that pick.
Mar. 20 was Williams' Pro Day in California and Allen joined Bears management out there to get an in-person look at the 22-year-old.
Allen was decked out in Bears gear and is pictured embracing Williams prior to him walking on the field.
Bears News: Keenan Allen in Attendance of Caleb Williams Pro Day
These two men will likely become teammates next month and are already talking. Allen hasn't been in the Windy City for long but he already looks to be all-in.
That is great news for the Bears and could also bode well for Williams.
The USC standout will likely walk into a potent offense that features Allen, D.J. Moore, Cole Kmet and D'Andre Swift.
GM Ryan Poles has done a superb job rebuilding the Bears roster and now has the opportunity to hand select his new franchise quarterback.
