The Chicago Bears and their fanbase is ready to roll in 2024. General manager Ryan Poles was able to improve this team drastically and they want to show the world what they are capable of.

The Bears have their hands full within the division and will have to compete with the Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, and Minnesota Vikings.

And now it looks like the Bears will have to deal with a familiar face in 2024.

NFL News: Allen Robinson Joins the Detroit Lions

According to ESPN's Field Yates, the Detroit Lions are signing wide receiver Allen Robinson to the practice squad. On Tuesday, Robinson was released by the New York Giants but quickly found a new home. And it's back in the NFC North.

The Penn State product is a familiar face around the Windy City. He played for the Bears from 2018-2021 and those were some of the best years of his career.

During those four years, Robinson had 293 receptions (465 targets) for 3,561 receiving yards, and 18 touchdowns. He also went over 1,000 receiving yards twice with the Bears but things seemed to fall off after he left town.

Now he's looking to revive his career with the Lions and that's a great fit for him. The Lions have one of the best offenses in the league and offensive coordinator Ben Johnson does a great job drawing up creative plays.

Robinson still has his work cut out for him to get elevated to the 53-man roster but if he does, it will add more intrigue to the Week 13 and 16 contests between the Bears and Lions.
