Former Bears Defender Reunites With AFC Threat
It's been a shaky start to the season for the Chicago Bears. After securing a win in Week 1, the Bears have dropped two straight games.
In Week 3, the Bears fell short to the Indianapolis Colts 21-16 and dropped their second straight game.
It's been a tough couple of weeks for Chicago but they are looking to right the ship. While they are doing that in the Windy City, a former player landed with an AFC powerhouse ahead of Week 4.
NFL News: Yannick Ngakoue Is Signing with Baltimore Ravens
According to Adam Schefter, the Baltimore Ravens are signing EDGE Yannick Ngakoue to bolster their defensive front. In 2020, Ngakoue was acquired via trade by Baltimore, logging 11 total tackles and three sacks in nine games.
Now they decided to bring back the Maryland product. The 29-year-old has bounced around the league a bit over the past few years. Last season, Ngakoue was with the Bears. He suited up in 13 games for Chicago, notching 13 solo tackles, six tackles for loss, seven QB hits, and four sacks.
He still has some juice off the edge, and the Ravens decided to bring him back after some weeks into the campaign.
It was a bit surprising that the Bears didn't bring Ngakoue back when they were looking for more pass-rush help. They were one of the two finalists to land EDGE Matthew Judon when he was shipped to the Atlanta Falcons in August.
Regardless, everything happens for a reason, and Ngakoue is joining a Ravens team that has Super Bowl aspirations in 2024.
