DJ Moore Provides Big Keenan Allen Injury Update on Monday
The Chicago Bears are coming off a thrilling comeback victory against the Tennessee Titans in Week 1. Even though they secured the win, the offense had big-time problems moving the ball.
They finished with 148 yards of total offense and averaged just 2.8 yards per play. The Bears added the likes of Caleb Williams, Keenan Allen, Rome Odunze, and D'Andre Swift in the offseason but it didn't matter on Sunday.
The offense is clearly going through some growing pains and Allen was seen heading to the medical tent for examination late in the game. Heading into the contest, Allen was limited in practice as he was dealing with a heel injury.
That led to some concern but fellow wide receiver D.J. Moore doesn't seem concerned about Allen and even trolled his new teammate.
Bears News: DJ Moore Isn’t Worried About Keenan Allen
When asked about Allen's status on 670 the Score's "Mully & Haugh", Moore thinks Allen is "fine" and there's nothing to worry about.
"Yeah, he's just an old man ... He's good."
- DJ Moore
Allen is 32 years old and now has a nagging injury that has strung up early in the season. Although Moore isn't stressed, we'll have to wait and see how the injury report shakes out.
This is certainly something to monitor though, as Allen missed four games in 2023 with a pedal heel bruise.
Thankfully, the Bears have Moore and Odunze in the receiver corp if Allen were to miss time. But as it stands right now, Moore doesn't sound pressed and it appears that Allen will be ready to roll in the Week 2 matchup against the Houston Texans on Sunday Night Football.
