The Chicago Bears will try to get back into the win column when they host the LA Rams for Sunday's Week 4 clash. The Bears haven't won a game since their 2024 debut, though, meaning they'll need all hands on deck to reverse their fortunes at Soldier Field this weekend.

Several Bears have struggled to begin the season, including running back D'Andre Swift. The veteran rusher has left much to be desired after signing a three-year, $24.5 million contract back in March and his number of opportunities have declined as a result.

Unfortunately, Swift's early struggles could potentially lead to a diminished role in Week 4.

Bears News: D'Andre Swift to See Demotion in Week 4?

"Watch for Bears running back Roschon Johnson to possibly get an extended look this week," ESPN's Jeremy Fowler wrote on Wednesday. Johnson was Chicago's best running back during last week's loss to the Colts, so it isn't shocking that head coach Matt Eberflus potentially wants to ride the hot hand.

After being inactive and stuck on special teams in Weeks 1 and 2, respectively, Johnson returned to the Bears' lineup at Lucas Oil Stadium. While it was far from his best performance, the 23-year-old RB still turned eight carries into 30 rushing yards and even caught four passes for another 32 yards.

Johnson's promotion is a sign that Swift must find a way to get back on track. The former Pro Bowl runner had the best performance of his career with the Eagles last season, amassing personal bests in scrimmage yards (1,263) and touches (268) while scoring six touchdowns along the way.

Instead of picking up from where he left off, Swift has done the opposite this month. The former 2020 second-rounder only has 68 rushing yards on 37 carries with another 46 yards on six receptions. That's without mentioning how he's failed to rush for more than 30 yards in a game.

We'll see how the Bears' backfield performs against the Rams this weekend. LA struggled to stop the run as it has allowed 86 carries (2nd), 405 rushing yards (2nd), and three touchdowns (T-5th) to running backs this season, according to Pro Football Reference.

Regardless of who's leading the RB room in Week 4, things look promising for Chicago. FanDuel Sportsbook is currently listing the Bears as 3-point home favorites over the Rams in a game with a projected total of 40.5 points.
