The Chicago Bulls have tried to kickstart their rebuild this offseason. After missing the playoffs for the sixth time in the last seven years, the Bulls decided it was time to restart.

It started when they traded Alex Caruso to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Josh Giddey. Now it's a lock that DeMar DeRozan will be leaving town in free agency, and they've taken calls on Zach LaVine.

Unfortunately, the market for LaVine isn't there, but the latest report takes it to rock bottom.

Bulls News: Relationship Between Zach Lavine and Chicago's Front Office Is Shattered

Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times released a piece discussing what's going on behind the scenes. It was revealed that the relationship between LaVine and the front office has soured badly.

"If LaVine isn’t moved and returns to the Bulls, the locker room would welcome him back, but the front office and ownership are said to consider it a worst-case scenario. An NBA insider told the Sun-Times on Tuesday that the relationship between LaVine and the top brass is shattered and “filled with mistrust.""

That isn't the news you want to hear if you're a Bulls fans, but things have taken a turn for the worst.

Cowley added, "The Bulls, meanwhile, are said to be unhappy that LaVine had season-ending surgery on his right foot when rehab was still on the table, viewing it as a counterpunch."

LaVine underwent right-foot surgery last season but the Bulls believed he could have rehabbed and potentially returned.

The 29-year-old decided to opt for surgery, but that rubbed people in the organization the wrong way. LaVine and Klutch Sports feel he was misled about possible trade destinations, leading to a lack of movement.

LaVine has three years and more than $137  million left on his max deal but there seems to be no market for the two-time All-Star.

The Bulls will have to find a way to come up with something in return but the relationship seems unsalvageable.
