3. Bears' running game has some success

The Bears' inefficiency on the ground through the first three weeks has been well documented. However, as mentioned above, the Bears had their best day on the ground against the Rams. D'Andre Swift carried the ball 16 times, averaging 5.8 yards, for 93 yards and one touchdown. Swift's best play was a 38-yard touchdown run.

Without the 38-yard touchdown run, Swift would have still ended the day with 3.6 yards a carry, which would have been his best as a Bear. It seemed like Swift was attacking the correct holes against the Rams, which is something he has struggled to do thus far. Hopefully, this is a building game for Swift, and he will continue to play well for the rest of the season.

The Bears also got Roschon Johnson involved against the Rams. Johnson averaged 3.7 yards a carry on seven carries, gaining 26 yards and one touchdown. Although fans expected more out of Johnson after it was reported earlier in the week that he would see a heavier workload, his contribution was needed.

Going forward the Bears should continue to utilize the Swift and Johnson duo. This should give the Bears at least an average running attack for the rest of the season.
