Bears Land Haason Reddick in Perfect Trade Proposal From ESPN
The Chicago Bears are 1-0 in the new season and are looking to keep the momentum rolling in Week 2 as they travel to play the Houston Texans on Sunday Night Football.
They have done a superb job adding more difference-makers to the team but one player could be available. And ESPN has the Bears acquiring EDGE Haason Reddick in a trade proposal.
Bears News: ESPN Has Bears Trading for Haason Reddick
ESPN's Benjamin Solak, Dan Graziano, Jeremy Fowler, and Rich Cimini came together to create trade packages involving Reddick and the Bears were on the list. They had Chicago acquiring the star EDGE rusher and Fowler came through with a realistic package.
The Bears send a 2025 third-round pick and a 2025 sixth-round pick to the New York Jets in exchange for Reddick and a 2025 fifth-round pick.
Chicago has been in the market for a pass rusher for some time now. Earlier this year, they tried to trade for EDGE Matthew Judon but weren't willing to give him a new deal. That couldn't be the case for Reddick though, as he's been holding out in an attempt to land a lucrative extension.
If Chicago is willing to land out a new deal, there might not be a better option on the market.
Reddick is a relentless force off the edge due to his speed and pass-rush plan to get around the corner.
He's racked up 58 sacks in his career, including four straight seasons with at least 11 sacks. Adding Reddick to a defense that already has Montez Sweat and Jaylon Johnson would be a massive win for Chicago. In a year that the Bears are looking to do damage, there may not be a better defender available than Reddick.
