This is going to be an interesting draft for the Chicago Bears. They have two selections in the top 10 with the No. 1 and No. 9 overall picks. After that, they have just two more the remainder of the weekend.

Chicago currently has just the 75th pick in Round 3 and No. 122 in Round 4. They could look to make some trades and add more draft capital, which is one reason for veteran players to be concerned. Another is the influx of talent from free agency as well as the fact that two potential game-changers will be added on day one.

With all that being said, here are six Bears on thin ice with the 2024 NFL Draft approaching.

6. Tyson Bagent, Quarterback

Undrafted out of Shepherd in 2023, Tyson Bagent was a fun story as a rookie. He stepped into action in Week 6 when Justin Fields was injured and impressed by going 10-of-14 for 83 yards while running a touchdown. He then started in Week 7, leading Chicago to a win over the Las Vegas Raiders.

After that, he was brought back down to earth. Bagent did keep the team treading water as they went 2-2 without Fields but he had twice as many interceptions (6) as he did touchdown passes (3). He added 109 yards and two touchdowns on the ground but they also had a favorable schedule that included a win over the Carolina Panthers.

This year, Bagent isn't guaranteed a spot as the Bears will be adding Caleb Williams with the first pick. He will then have to fight with Brett Rypien for the No. 2 spot and if any other quarterbacks are added — even as undrafted free agents — he will have his work cut out for him.
