4. Larry Borom, OT

The Bears only made one offensive line move at last week's draft, opting to use a third-round selection on former Yale tackle Kiran Amegadjie. The 22-year-old blocker was born and raised in Illinois, making him an instant fan favorite among Chicago supporters.

Additionally, Amegadjie's arrival means bad news for Larry Borom.

Borrom, an ex-2021 fifth-rounder, has seen his play and opportunities decline with each passing season. The former Missouri Tiger played a career-low 411 offensive snaps in 2023, leading to his allowing 25 pressures (16 hurries, 6 QB hits, 3 sacks) while earning an offense grade of 48.0 on Pro Football Focus — the eighth-worst grade among offensive tackles last year.

At this point, it'd be surprising if Borom is still on the roster come Week 1. Not only is Amegadjie a more promising option to play behind Braxton Jones and Darnell Wright, but Borom wasn't even drafted by general manager Ryan Poles, meaning there is likely less attachment to the struggling 25-year-old tackle.

At the end of the day, protecting your franchise quarterback is crucial for success and it's clear that Borom doesn't provide adequate protection. He's still young enough to turn his career around, but it's likely that he'll have to find that opportunity outside of Chicago.
