3. Roschon Johnson deserves more playing time

Over the first two weeks, the Bears running backs combined for 83 yards on the ground. The Bears failed to establish a running game because of a bad offensive line play and the overreliance on speed at running back. When offensive linemen can't hold blocks, a running back's speed is useless. That's why the Bears' choice to sit Roschon Johnson, who has more power, last week was confusing.

Thankfully, Johnson made his first appearance of the season this week. He finished the day with eight rushes for 30 yards and four catches for 32 yards. While Johnson's production is by no means great, he was the Bears' most productive running back against the Colts, averaging 3.75 yards a carry.

Johnson consistently broke out of Colts tackles, which is why he led the Bears in rushing yards. His best play of the day was an eight-yard rush up the middle, where he broke two tackles.

Johnson's power needs to be focused on more in the Bears' running game going forward. Doing this will not only help the offensive line look better, but it will also wear down opposing defenses. Once the opposing defense is worn down, the speed in Swift and Herbert can come in to take advantage.
