3 Bears To Watch in the Hall of Fame Game

While it's disappointing that Caleb Williams and the staters won't be playing in the Hall of Fame game on Thursday, there are plenty of other Bears to watch out for.

3. Velus Jones Jr., KR/PR

Velus Jones Jr. has had a rocky start to his NFL career. Jones Jr. has struggled catching passes and fielding punts and kicks in his first two seasons. Throughout the Bears' first week of training camp, Jones Jr. has had ups and downs in the receiving game. However, one of his better reps was a nice over-the-shoulder catch.

One the other hand, Jones Jr. dropped a pass that ended up getting picked off in the end zone.

While getting offensive snaps may be a challenge for Jones Jr., he could still make a difference in the return game. So far, it seems like he has yet to miss play a punt or kick in training camp.

Although fielding kicks in practice was never really the issue for Jones Jr. His struggles came when the live bullets were flying during the game.

However, the new kickoff rule could be a huge advantage for Jones because he doesn't have to worry about people coming at him until he touches the ball. That might help him create big returns in the Hall of Fame game and the rest of the preseason.
