3 Bears To Watch in the Hall of Fame Game

While it's disappointing that Caleb Williams and the staters won't be playing in the Hall of Fame game on Thursday, there are plenty of other Bears to watch out for.

2. Austin Booker, DE

One of the biggest questions the Bears need to answer going into the season is who will play defensive end opposite Montez Sweat. Currently, the second defensive end position is expected to be a rotation. One player who will be part of that rotation is rookie Austin Booker.

Booker's college tape impressed the Bears enough to trade back into the fourth round of this year's draft to select him. Booker's impact has been noticeable, despite having only had two padded practices so far.

In the first padded practice this past Saturday, Booker chased down a screen pass caught by Roschon Johnson.

While this is a fairly standard play for an NFL defensive lineman, seeing Booker make it early on in camp is a good sign. If Booker can take his hot start to camp and transfer it to his first NFL game reps on Thursday, he might be the breakout star of the preseason.
