Micah Parsons apparently doesn't have time for the Chicago Bears' trash talk. That didn't stop the Green Bay Packers star from having quite a bit to say about Luther Burden III, though. During an appearance on Bleacher Report's The Edge, Parsons dismissed the young receiver's comments before making it clear that he hasn't forgotten about his next meeting with Caleb Williams.

Micah Parsons dismisses Luther Burden III's trash talk

The Bears and Packers haven't exactly needed much encouragement to dislike one another. Following Green Bay's Week 5 victory, the conversation between players continued well after the final whistle.

Burden found himself in the middle of that conversation, and Parsons was asked what he thought about the receiver's remarks.

His response wasn't particularly flattering.

"I don't be worried about him though," Parsons said.

He then characterized the trash talk as an attempt to get attention, suggesting that the players involved were more interested in going viral than anything else.

That's an interesting response from someone who has become one of the NFL's most recognizable podcast personalities.

Parsons has never been shy about giving his opinion on other players, teams or controversies around the league. But when the subject turned to Burden, he suddenly wasn't interested in participating.

He explained that he was in too good of a headspace to get involved in the back-and-forth.

Fair enough. But dismissing another player as someone chasing attention is still a response, whether Parsons wants to call it that or not.

Parsons believes Bears-Packers rivalry talk must be earned

Parsons did offer a reasonable explanation for why he doesn't want to get too involved in the rivalry just yet.

He hasn't spent much time playing against Chicago, having faced the Bears during his years with Dallas and once since joining Green Bay.

Rather than pretending he has years of personal history with the franchise, Parsons acknowledged that he's still relatively new to this particular rivalry.

"We ain't earned that right yet," Parsons said.

He included himself in that assessment, which makes the comment less of a direct insult toward Burden than it might initially sound.

Still, Bears fans probably won't appreciate hearing a Packers player dismiss their young receiver while simultaneously explaining who has earned the right to talk.

Burden is still establishing himself in the NFL, and his comments have certainly attracted attention. Whether that attention is deserved will ultimately be decided by what he does on the field.

The same standard applies to Parsons.

Micah Parsons has a Christmas message for Caleb Williams

Parsons was considerably more enthusiastic when the conversation shifted to Chicago quarterback Caleb Williams.

He recalled approaching Williams after their previous meeting and delivering a short message.

"See you on Christmas."

That wasn't something Parsons said in passing and immediately forgot. He brought it up again during the interview, making clear that he's looking forward to the rematch.

"I'm standing on that. I'mma see y'all Christmas Day. I can't wait."

There's nothing particularly disrespectful about that exchange. Two competitive players looking forward to seeing each other again is exactly what this rivalry should produce.

Parsons also expressed confidence that he'll be on the field when the teams meet again.

And that could make Christmas considerably more interesting.

For Chicago, the best response won't come from another interview or social media exchange. The Bears already had their opportunity to talk before the Week 5 meeting, and Green Bay walked away with the win.

Now they'll have another chance to answer on the field.

Parsons can claim he isn't interested in the verbal sparring all he wants. He clearly hasn't forgotten about the Bears, Burden or Williams.

And judging by his excitement about Christmas, he's already looking forward to the next chapter.
