Chicago Bears wide receiver did not exactly light the world on fire in his first game as a locked-in starter. Still, the second-year player is poised for bigger days and could start as soon as Week 2. Eric Moody of ESPN projects for Luther Burden to have a big day, similar to what the Green Bay Packers wide receivers did to the Minnesota Vikings secondary a week prior.
"Bears WR Luther Burden III finished with just five targets and 9.5 fantasy points against Carolina last week. However, he led Chicago's receivers in routes run and now faces a Vikings secondary that allowed the Packers' Christian Watson and Matthew Golden to combine for 48.2 fantasy points last week. Watson had six catches for 147 yards and two touchdowns. Golden had six catches for 95 yards. If Burden has anything close to either of those lines, he will be right back in the good graces of fantasy football managers.

Burden only had 9.5 fantasy points, but some of that was taken away by a fumble lost. He was the top player in routes and caught all five of his targets. He also averaged 2.34 yards per route run. This was right in line with his impressive rookie season line.
So, he was still efficient when he was on the field. The team limited his snaps a bit because he was banged up during the week. Kalif Raymond and Jahdae Walker played more than expected, which allowed them to get a strong game out of Burden, but not quite the volume that was initially expected.
The Bears also used Burden in the rushing game. He had one rush for two yards. While that was not impactful, it does show the team's plans to use him in all aspects.
Burden is healthier this week and should play more. The Vikings represent a division foe and a tougher defense than Carolina. Still, the defense is hit or miss when it comes to their blitzing tendencies. They can create big plays, but just as easily get burnt for big plays.
That showed in Week 1 against the Packers. All of this is pointing to Burden having more opportunity to spring a big play than he did the week prior. Do not sleep on Burden after a pedestrian opener.
