4 Chicago Bears Set to Come Back Down to Earth
Caleb Williams Rushing
Caleb Williams had 65 rushing yards in Week 1. That was the second-best total of his NFL career, and his best since November of 2024. So far, Williams averages 26.9 rushing yards per game. He averaged 22.8 yards per game last season. He might be more of a threat with his legs now that he is more comfortable in the offense, but expecting him to continue at that rate is a lot.
D’Andre Swift
Swift is in an offense that fits him well. They just extended him as well. So, if he has a career year, it is not going to be a surprise. Still, it will be hard for him to maintain the level of play he was at in Week 1. Swift put up 124 rushing yards and 10 in the passing game.
His 66.7% success rate was well above the 49% career rate. His career high in yards per game entering the year is 67.9. He averages 5.9 yards per touch in his career. He averaged 10 yards per touch in Week 1. He might set career highs, but those numbers are insane.
Kalif Raymond
Raymond has been in the NFL since 2016. So, setting a career-high in catches in 2026 is quite impressive. Raymond also put up 84 yards, which is the fourth-highest in his career. Expecting him to continue at that rate would be a bit unwise.
The Bears did not push Luther Burden and Rome Odunze, who had good but not great games. They were both a bit banged up during the week. So, they should both get more chances in the coming weeks. That will take away from Raymond.
Kentavius Street
Street is another player who could have a career year even if he does not continue at his rate. Street recorded a sack in his Bears debut and started next to Grady Jarrett. Still, Street has never recorded more than 3.5 sacks. He is already tied for the fourth most sacks in his eight-year career. He will continue to play well, but sacks might not be as consistent.
