Former Bears QB Signs With AFC Laughingstock in Latest Offseason Prediction
The 2024 season has been a nightmare for the Chicago Bears. They are 4-12 on the season and have lost ten straight games. On Thursday Night Football, the Seattle Seahawks topped the Bears 6-3.
Discussions around the 2025 offseason have begun, and Justin Fields may be looking for a new home this spring. Last March, the Bears shipped Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers, but Russell Wilson took over in Week 7 against the New York Jets, and Fields was pushed into a backup role.
Bleacher Report's Scouting Department released an article discussing potential moves for all 32 teams in the league. In that piece, they suggested that the Tennessee Titans sign Fields.
They wrote, "He did enough as the Steelers' starter early in the season to justify a job as a bridge starter for a team next season. The Titans could sign the 25-year-old to take a more wait-and-see approach with drafting a quarterback in the spring."
Fields started in six games for the Steelers in 2024, completing 65% of his passes for 1,106 passing yards, five passing touchdowns, and one interception. He also added 289 rushing yards and five rushing scores as well.
The Titans are likely to move on from Will Levis this offseason, so there could be an opening at QB. Fields may be an enticing and athletic playmaker for them and could give the Ohio State product his best chance to start in 2025.
Over three seasons with the Bears, Fields had a 10-28 record as a starter, tossing 6,674 passing yards, 2,220 rushing yards, and 54 total touchdowns.
He put some good film on tape over the first couple of weeks in the 2024 season and will get another opportunity to start in the league. That destination could be the Titans as Bleacher Report suggested or it could be elsewhere.
