The Chicago Bears are having a bit of a rough training camp when it comes to building expectations. Caleb Williams has continued to struggle in the early weeks of camp. Pressure is turned up incredibly high with Williams sitting at home while Jayden Daniels made a run to the NFC Championship. Making matters worse was Bo Nix helping turn around the previously struggling Denver Broncos, leading the team to a playoff return.
For Williams, the expectations are high based on being drafted first overall and showing clear struggles in year one. The Bears are expecting to be in the playoff race and must find a way to unlock the quarterback's full potential.
A video making the rounds over the weekend isn't helping matters, as it shows Williams missing the net and showing his frustration. After missing a handful of throws, we see the franchise quarterback throwing his arms in frustration. It is another piece of being a franchise quarterback that the star has yet to learn. Williams cannot so easily show his emotions, needing to keep his cool to be the best possible leader. Understanding when to show emotion and maintaining confidence is paramount as the Bears' star looks to meet lofty expectations.

While this isn't a great look for Williams, there is no real reason for concern with camp reps. Fans have watched the quarterback deliver in big moments and show off his arm. All of the needed ability is there; it is simply a question of whether or not Ben Johnson is going to be able to help the young quarterback take the leap.
All the needed weapons are in place, and the quarterback does have the advantage of playing in the weaker conference. Add in the Vikings possibly taking a step back with J.J. McCarthy taking over, and there is going to be every chance for the Bears to hang in the wildcard race. All of the needed pieces and talent are still in place. While it might be easy to overreact to one less-than-flattering practice video, it would be a mistake.
Williams is simply far too elite a talent to start to doubt based on the results of training camp. The quarterback is adjusting to a new offense and head coach while still looking to fully unlock the player he is expected to become. This will result in some bumps in the road, and that is all this video is, nothing more should be read into it.
