Each team in Westbrook's path has learned this the hard way, no matter how much fun or the heights the veteran reached. Playing winning basketball isn't a part of who the veteran is at this stage of his career. Even with one of the greatest minds the league has seen in Denver, Russ had moments when he let the game get away from him.
The up-and-down, volatile nature of his game is frustrating and absolutely fascinating. It's impossible not to be entertained by his game even at this late stage of his career. With this in mind, the Bulls should offer the veteran a limited deal that gives them both a fan attraction and a possible trade chip.
Adding Westbrook isn't about changing expectations but about furthering entertainment value and adding at least one household name to a rebuilding roster. No question, Westbrook is a signing the Bulls should at least consider.
