The Chicago Bears had an undeniably ugly 9-3 loss two weeks ago, with everything going wrong offensively that could have. The headline was the injury to Caleb Williams that took the air out of the attempted comeback and left the Bears and fans with every reason to panic before learning the injury wasn't as bad as first feared. No question, the Bears dodged a potential season-ending situation, and Ben Johnson is responding accordingly in what would set the tone for the win that lay ahead.

"You hate getting that first loss out of the way like that. We were really excited about coming back home, divisional opponent. To see us fall short like that was disappointing. We’ll get a good look at the tape and clean things up and we’ll move things on with Monday Night Football with the Eagles"
Ben Johnson

Chicago would clearly follow this quote up with an incredible upset victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. The season is very much still in hand as the Bears hope to continue to roll with Johnson's quote setting the tone. The head coach understood the importance of sitting back, building up the team, and talking about making clear improvements.

As much as pundits might like to pick out certain Johnson quotes that could be taken in the wrong way, there simply is no denying the head coach is the perfect leader and continues to find ways to prove this over the previous year plus.

Ben Johnson offers perfect calm approach clearly telling the future as Bears remain in great position

The Bears sit at 2-1 on the season and will take on the New York Jets and Green Bay Packers that all of a sudden seem incredibly winnable with the way Case Keenum is playing. No question, Johnson's calm outlook when the season appeared to be on the brink set the tone and has pushed Chicago into a position to continue to hold control of the NFC North.

While Minnesota has a slight lead there is no viable reason to believe the hot start can be maintained. No question, the Bears are in the better position and much of this is due to strong leadership and Johnson finding ways to keep his roster focused even after a loss that had a chance to ruin what was an incredibly exciting season.

For Johnson, he simply needs to continue to attack the next two games the exact same way with the belief the Bears can find a way to get it done. Caleb Williams has limited injury history and should soon be back leaving even more reason for optimism around Chicago's season ahead.
