The third week of NFL free agency is almost over, and it's safe to say that the 2025 offseason has been a mixed bag for Chicago Bears free agents. Although players like offensive lineman Coleman Shelton and linebacker Darrell Taylor have managed to already find new homes, other ex-Bears are still on the hunt for fresh starts.
Having said that, one ex-Bear who hit the open market earlier this month just landed a new opportunity with a franchise he's more than familiar with.
Former Bears OL Matt Pryor Signs With Eagles in Week 3 of Free Agency
The Philadelphia Inquirer's Jeff McLane is reporting that the Eagles have signed former Bears offensive lineman Matt Pryor to a one-year contract.

Pryor, 30, is no stranger to the City of Brotherly Love. The former TCU Horned Frog was drafted 206th overall by the Eagles in 2018 and played three seasons with the franchise until he was traded to the Indianapolis Colts ahead of the 2022 campaign. He played parts of three seasons with the Colts and San Francisco 49ers before signing a one-year contract with the Bears last offseason.
Pryor was a frequent presence on the Bears' offensive line last season, playing a career-high 1,006 offensive snaps across 17 games (15 starts). Even though his performance wasn't as dominant as the previous one, the Long Beach, CA native still managed to produce a solid 78.1 Pro Football Focus pass protection grade while also playing to a mark of 65.9 as a run blocker.
Pryor has experience playing every O-line position except for center, opening the door to how the Eagles can use him upon his Philadelphia return. Philly head coach Nick Sirianni wasn't around during the veteran blocker's first tenure, meaning he'll have to prove himself to see significant playing time.
The Bears will be facing the Eagles on the road next season, meaning it won't be long before the fanbase is reunited with Pyror. Whether he's playing in the game as a starter or reserve player remains to be seen, though.
