The Chicago Bears played in one of the most exciting preseason games the city has ever seen on Friday night against the Kansas City Chiefs. Chicago entered the fourth quarter down 27-10. Typically, in a preseason game, fans don't expect their team to come back in the fourth quarter and win.
However, that's exactly what head coach Ben Johnson and quarterback Tyson Bagent did. Bagent, who signed a contract extension earlier this week, led a 19-point comeback to defeat Kansas City. While watching Bagent cap off his week with a come-from-behind victory was sweet, that wasn't the biggest storyline to come from the game.
That honor belonged to undrafted free agent wide receiver Jahdae Walker. The 23-year-old put together one amazing final drive. As a result, Walker may have just earned himself a roster spot.

Bears Undrafted Rookie WR Jahdae Walker May Have Earned a Roster Spot
The former Texas A&M Aggie has done everything he can this preseason to prove why he should be the Bears' sixth receiver in 2025. Friday night's final drive of the game was a perfect example of what he can do. Walker began the drive by making a beautiful 16-yard top tap catch on the sideline.
Walker would then be targeted two more times on the drive, making one catch and having one fall incomplete. The ball the 22-year-old hauled in just so happened to be the game-winning touchdown pass. On that play, Bagent threw a beautiful back shoulder fade that Walker came down with.
This wasn't the first time Walker had scored on this play in the preseason. In Chicago's first preseason game against the Miami Dolphins, he caught a touchdown pass on an identical route from Case Keenum. Even so, this catch certainly meant a lot more, given it was a game-winner.
Moreover, the 22-year-old made the final tackle of the game on special teams. Capping off the game with a special teams play goes a long way in showing his value to the team.
This preseason, Walker recorded eight receptions on 11 targets for 98 yards and two touchdowns. That's great production for an undrafted free agent. Despite that, the player he is likely battling for a roster spot, Maurice Alexander, has experience with Ben Johnson, which will make it more difficult for him to make the roster.
Nevertheless, Walker's entire preseason, including his game against the Chiefs, should be enough to earn him a roster spot on Tuesday.
