Bears Stars Calls Out Tyrique Stevenson After Hail Mary Disaster
It's a tough Monday for Bears fans and their players after the heartbreaking loss to the Washington Commanders in Week 8. The Bears fell to the Commanders 18-15 after Jayden Daniels completed a 52-yard Hail Mary to receiver Noah Brown.
Prior to the play, cornerback Tyrique Stevenson was seen mocking the crowd. Those extra seconds forced Stevenson to be out of place and allowed the pass to be completed in the endzone.
After the game, DJ Moore and Jaylon Johnson addressed the situation and called out the 24-year-old.

After the game, Johnson discussed what went down on the play and revealed that Brown shouldn't have been open in the back of the endzone. Which is clearly where Stevenson should have been.
"There should never be somebody wide open in the back of the end zone. Plus we just didn’t execute it well enough at the end of the day. I can’t tell you who was supposed to be there. I don’t know. But at the end of the day, there should never be anybody wide open in the back of the end zone. We’ve all got to find a way to execute better down the stretch."

Moore then spoke about it on Monday morning while a guest on "Mully And Haugh." He said, "The captains were talking about how we need to really address that. I think he put something out about how he was sorry, but we still got to address that as a leadership group and in front of the team. ... We can address it as captains, and (the front office) is going to do what they are going to do."
It's clear that both Moore and Johnson are frustrated with the loss and how Stevenson's immaturity led to it.
The Miami product apologized to his teammates on Monday morning but his lapse of judgment cost the Bears a win.
Hopefully, this is a moment that Stevenson learned from. He cost his team a victory and has been clowned online. It's certainly going to be a tough filmroom session for Stevenson but he needs to use this as a learning lesson.
It rubbed Moore and Johnson the wrong way. And that feeling is definitely felt among the fanbase.
