The Chicago Bears' offensive line suffered multiple injuries on Sunday against the Washington Commanders.

Left guard Teven Jenkins left the game multiple times because of a knee injury. Backup left guard Bill Murray also sustained a chest injury, while left tackle Braxton Jones left the game in the third quarter with a knee injury.

No update was provided on Jones' injury on Sunday after the game. Thankfully, Ian Rapoport provided an update on Jones Monday morning.

Bears News: Braxton Jones Avoids Serious Knee Injury

Fortunately, Jones's knee injury is only minor because if it was anything season-ending, the Bears might be in trouble at left tackle. Rookie Kiran Amegadjie steeped in for Jones after he left, and it did not go well.

Amegadjie struggled in pass protection, allowing four QB hurries and four QB pressures. Amegadjie's struggles against the Commanders should come as no surprise given he missed all of the offseason recovering from an injury, and his step up from Ivy League to the NFL is steep.

While Amegadjie struggled for the most part against the Commanders, he did have some bright spots. One of those was his edge-sealing block on D'Andre Swift's 56-yard touchdown run, springing a wide gap for the speedy running back to score.

Jones' projected injury length gets him back right in time for the first division game against the Green Bay Packers. Having Jones back entering that game is important given how dangerous the Packers' pass rush has proven to be.

Hopefully, Jones returns from injury the week prior to the Packers game because the Bears obviously need him.
