With the Miami Dolphins struggling to get much going, Chicago Bears GM Ryan Poles needs to make the most of this opportunity.

The Chicago Bears finally bounced back on Sunday, notching a 31-14 win over the Dallas Cowboys. The Bears' offense showed signs of life, and Caleb Williams looked like the generational quarterback most fans and analysts thought and hoped he'd become.

Of course, the Cowboys' defense has left plenty to be desired in the first three weeks of the season, but a win is a win, and it was certainly a big step in the right direction as well. Now, the Bears need to build off that momentum ahead of Week 4's meeting with the Las Vegas Raiders and beyond.

Making a big move ahead of November's trade deadline could also send the right message to the Bears and the rest of the league, as it would show that this front office still has hopes about turning this season around. With that in mind, general manager Ryan Poles could pick up the phone and reach out to the Miami Dolphins about Jaylen Waddle.

Bears Must Target WR Jaylen Waddle Amid Dolphins' 0-3 Start

The Dolphins are 0-3 for the season and in serious trouble. Long gone are the days of them having one of the most explosive offenses in the game, and it seems like head coach Mike McDaniel could be the first head coach to lose his job this season.

That's why the Bears must put together an appealing trade offer to lure Waddle to the Windy City, all while the Dolphins recoup some much-needed draft capital to get back to the drawing board and restock their roster with young talent.

Just a couple of years ago, Waddle looked like a superstar in the making, and he seemed to be on pace to take down Tyreek Hill as their WR1. The Dolphins rewarded him with a three-year, $84.7 million contract extension that will run through the 2027 season.

Tagovailoa's declining play and the Dolphins' slumping offense haven't helped his case this season, but he's still up to 14 receptions for 137 yards and two touchdowns through the first three games of the year, and has a 323-4,266-22 stat line in 65 career starts.

Those numbers should only go up in HC Ben Johnson's offense. Waddle would be a significant upgrade over Olamide Zaccheaus, and with Williams' determination to take shots down the field, adding another speedster and threat in the middle of the field could take this offense to a whole new level.

Along with Rome Odunze, DJ Moore, Luther Burden, Cole Kmet, and Colston Loveland, Chicago would have one of the top pass-catching groups in the NFL, giving GM Poles all the more reason to phone the Dolphins.
